Exercises are most therapeutic when they are targeted to address the physical impairments linked to an individual’s musculoskeletal condition. The clinical practice guidelines developed by the APTA’s Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and published in The Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy describe common musculoskeletal conditions and the relevant physical impairments of mobility, muscle power, coordination, and pain linked to each condition.

Exercise Patterns embeds this guidance to support the decisions that clinicians and their clients need to make regarding the optimal exercises, and the progression of those exercises, for their specific musculoskeletal conditions.

Exercise Patterns provides guidelines-driven exercise options for injury prevention, acute-injury care, management of common sub-acute and chronic conditions, recovery from post-operative conditions, and plans to enhance performance and return-to-sport.

It is truly evidence-base practice at your fingertips.
